Our story
If you have a good tailor, you hold on to them. But move to a new neighbourhood or city and the search starts all over again: reading reviews, asking around, and still that nervous first visit to an unfamiliar workshop with your favourite coat. That is how it has gone for decades, and it does not have to.
mijnKleermaker was founded to give an online answer to that. You choose your garment and the repair, see the price and turnaround time straight away, and send it in. Our tailors repair it, a second pair of eyes checks it, and it is delivered back to your door. You can follow every step in your account.
We do not do the craftsmanship alone. mijnKleermaker works together with Van Schoot Group, a family business that has been repairing, altering and cleaning clothing for more than 55 years for clients including the Dutch Ministry of Defence, KLM, OFM, Jansen-Noy, Nederlof Mode, Bastiaansen Modestad and Anna van Toor. Your garment goes to that same workshop and through the same quality check. That gives you as a consumer access to craftsmanship that until now was only available to the clothing industry.
We are starting with repairs. Cleaning follows in November 2026, alterations in 2027.
