Cookie policy

Version 1.1, 30 April 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They make sure certain information is remembered between page visits, such as whether you are logged in or what you have placed in your basket.

2. Which cookies do we use?

mijnKleermaker uses functional cookies only. These are cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work. Without them the platform does not function correctly.

NameTypePurposeRetention
auth_tokenFunctionalKeeping track of login status (JWT session)7 days
draft_orderFunctionalStoring a draft order for guestsSession

auth_token is an HttpOnly cookie, which means JavaScript cannot read it — protection against XSS attacks. It is sent over HTTPS only (Secure) and carries the SameSite=Lax setting to block unwanted cross-site requests. The cookie is valid across the whole mijnkleermaker.nl ecosystem (including subdomains such as klantportaal.mijnkleermaker.nl) so you do not have to log in again when moving between parts of the platform.

3. What we do not do

Transparency matters to us. So we are equally clear about what we do not do:

  • We place no Google Analytics or comparable statistics cookies
  • We place no advertising or retargeting cookies
  • We place no social media tracking pixels (Facebook, Instagram and the like)
  • We install no third-party cookies for analytics purposes

In short: we do not track you. We store only what is technically necessary to deliver the service.

4. No cookie banner needed

Under the ePrivacy Directive (the Dutch Cookie Act) and the GDPR, functional cookies are exempt from the consent requirement. That means we do not have to ask whether we may place these cookies; they are necessary for the website to work. So there is nothing for you to accept or refuse.

5. Deleting or blocking cookies

Would you like to delete the cookies we have placed, or prevent new ones being placed? You can do so through your browser's privacy settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Please note: blocking functional cookies may mean you cannot log in, or that your draft order is lost.

6. Changes

We may amend this cookie policy if our service changes. The current version is always available on this page. In the event of material changes we will inform you by email or through a notice on the website.
